Starting to get a list of car shows and cruises in the area. Will be trying to post before they are taking place. I'm still lookin for a spot for meetings, so keep the ideas comin'. Hearse Club
Name of Club
The name of the Club is "Chariots of the Dead Hearse Club", hereafter referred to as "C.O.T.D.".
Objectives of C.O.T.D.
The objectives of C.O.T.D. are —
To encourage the development of a community of hearse owners and enthusiasts
To provide information and assistance to members;
To create events and opportunities to benefit our members and the greater community;
To provide opportunities for the professional development of members;
To enable members to meet and/or exchange ideas and information
To develop opportunities for our member via the World Wide Web;
To facilitate delivery of member services at a regional, national, and international level.
The property and income of C.O.T.D. shall be applied solely towards the promotion of the objectives of C.O.T.D. No part of that property or income may be paid or otherwise distributed, directly or indirectly, to members, except in good faith in the promotion of those objectives, or as bona fide compensation for services rendered or expenses incurred on behalf of the C.O.T.D..
"The President" means —
To oversee the proceedings at a Board meeting or general meeting, the person presiding at the Board meeting or general meeting.
If that person is unable to perform his or her functions, the Vice President will oversee the proceeding;
"The Vice-President" the Vice-President will act as chair person at all meetings where the President is not in attendance.
"The Treasurer" means the Financial Officer.The Treasurer will keep accurate record of income and expenditure of C.O.T.D
"The Secretary" means the person responsible for keeping minutes of the meetings, records management, and secretarial assistance to the Board.
"Events Coordinator"means the one who sets up events and delegates work to be carried out during events.
"The Board" consists of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and the Founders.
"Member" means member of the C.O.T.D. anyone who has been present for at least one C.O.T.D. meeting or event, and whom have paid the annual membership fee.
"Qualifications for Office" Must be a paid member for a minimum of one year, has to have been present at 50% of the previous years meetings and events, may not hold more then one office, may not be an officer nor fonder of another Hearse club.
"Term of Office" All officers whom elected by C.O.T.D. members are to serve a term of no less then one year.
“Eligibility for membership’’ of C.O.T.D.
Membership of C.O.T.D. is open to—
Individuals who are supportive of the objectives of the C.O.T.D. and willing to abide by the code of conduct.

The Board may by majority vote decide to refuse or rescind an application for membership. If membership is refused or rescinded, the reasons must be communicated to the applicant in writing.
Life Membership of the Association may be awarded at the discretion of the Board to members who have given outstanding and distinguished service to C.O.T.D.
Membership fees and sources of income
The Board shall from time to time determine the amount of the annual membership fee to be paid by each member.
Each member shall pay to the registered office of C.O.T.D. annually, the amount of the membership fee determined by the Board. The 12-month membership period shall start from the month of joining C.O.T.D. and shall be renewable on the anniversary of this date each year, hereafter called the "renewal date".
At the discretion of the Board, free or discount memberships may be given as prizes, or offered to persons in lieu of services, sponsorship, or other significant contribution to C.O.T.D..
A person who is in receipt of a free or discount membership cannot at the same time:
Serve on the Board of Directors
Serve as a officer locally, nationally, or internationally
Be a signatory to any C.O.T.D. bank account.
C.O.T.D.’s main sources of income shall include, but not be limited to:
Membership fees
Contest entry fees
Event entry fees
Sponsorships
Grants
C.O.T.D. merchandise
Proceedings of the Board
The Board shall meet together for the dispatch of business monthly and the President may at any time convene a meeting of the Board, after providing due notice to all Board members.
Each Board member has a deliberative vote.
A question arising at a Board meeting shall be decided by a majority of votes, but, if there is an equality of votes, the person presiding at the Board meeting shall have a casting vote in addition to his or her deliberative vote.
At a Board meeting three Board members constitute a quorum.
Subject to these rules the procedure and order of business to be followed at a Board meeting shall be determined in accordance with an agenda circulated to all Directors prior to the meeting.
A Board member having any direct or indirect pecuniary interest within the business being conducted by the C.O.T.D. shall declare any possible conflict of interest.
Code of Conduct
Voting rights of members of C.O.T.D.
Subject to these rules, each Member present in person or by proxy at a general meeting is entitled to a deliberative vote.
Inspection of records, etc of C.O.T.D.
A member may request to inspect without charge the books, documents, records and securities of C.O.T.D. The Board will determine an appropriate time and venue for this inspection to occur and will not reimburse costs for traveling to the said venue.
Distribution of surplus property on winding up of C.O.T.D.
If upon the winding up or dissolution of C.O.T.D. there remains after satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities any property whatsoever, the same shall not be paid to or distributed among the members but shall be given or transferred—
A. To another like minded club or association
B. For charitable purposes (determined by the members)
